The management of Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited, a Chevron Nigeria Limited Company and her co-venturers in the Agbami Field has stepped up the drive to boost science education in Nigeria with the donation of science laboratories’ complex to Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.
The other co-venturers of Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited are: Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, FAMFA Oil Limited, STAT Oil Nigeria Limited and Petroleo Brasileiro Nigeria Limited.

Our Senior correspondent who covered the handing over of the science laboratories’ complex Thursday July 6 at the school premises by the Director of Star Deepwater Limited, Richard Kennedy, reports that the CNL firm’s Boss reiterated the determination of Agbami co-venturers to assist in improving the quality of education in Nigeria as well as make it more affordable and accessible.
Mr. Richard Kennedy who was represented by Mr. Dan Agbofode, revealed that Star Deepwater Petroleum and her co-venturers have so far sponsored 2, 692 Delta indigenes in the Agbami Medical and Professional Scholarships, AMEPS, noting that it is separate from Chevron’s scholarship programme beneficiaries.
While stating that the company views the entire country as Agbami community, Mr. Kennedy averred that they have donated 33 science laboratories, 25 chest clinics, 6 hybrid and conventional libraries across the country as well as created awareness programmes against HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.
Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Chiedu Ebie while praising Star Deepwater Petroleum and her co-venturers for their support towards the development of education, tasked the school’s host community to make judicious use of the science laboratories’ complex and do everything possible to avoid vandalism of the equipment.

In an address, the Group General Manager, National Petroleum Investment Management Services, NAPIMS, Dafe Sejebor spoke of NAPIMS’s responsibility of managing investments of the federal government in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry and stressed on the mandate of Agbami Co-venturers in-terms of social investment programmes.
Mr. Sejebor who was represented by Ogor Okeoghene Mena, assured that NAPIMS will continue to ensure Nigeria enjoy more support from the Agbami Co-venturers.
Others who spoke during the ceremony include: representative of FAMFA Oil, Adetokunbo Ayodele, representative of the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, Chief M.J. Ovueni, President-General of Ozoro Community, Hon. Arch Nicholas and Principal of Alaka Grammar School, Bosin John.
