The National President the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro, has felicitated with all Muslim faithful calling on them to pray for peace and unity of the country as they celebrate Ed-el-Fitri.
The pro-Buhari ex-warlord stated this in a statement issued in Abuja Thursday August 31 wherein he specifically called for prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari for Allah to endow him with superlative health to steer the ship of Nigeria to safety, noting that the Retired Army General turned politician has left Nigerians who voted for him in no doubt that their votes were not wasted.
With the prayers of devoted Muslims the country has been stable and enemies of the nation have severally been put to shame in all fronts, stressing that it was Allah who sustained the President to bring back “our national glory and honour” putting ‘enemies within’ in perpetual shame.
According to him, “as good Nigerians we feel the power of prayers in “our national life” on daily basis and we are therefore grateful to those who genuinely put the country first in their communion with God”.
With President Buhari in the saddle, the evil ones have no hiding place, particularly those he described as forces of corruption who are bent on derailing the war against corruption so that the norms of looting and impunity will remain as national emblem.
The Urhobo-born ex-militant leader who doubles as the Coordinator of Urhobo Youth Forum for Change, UYFC, Eshanekpe Israel, knocks hard on a fellow ex-militant leader, Alhaji Asari Dokubo over a statement credited to him concerning his willingness to surrender his life if the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, was re-arrested by the Federal government.
Akpodoro said Dokubo was only exuding empty rascality in what he described as his barefooted threats. He dared the bearded face Ijaw - born former warlord to challenge the might of the Federal Government, adding that he won't be lucky like he was when the administration of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo arrested him.
In a seeming mockery, Akpodoro said Dokubo was pained because the “business of crude oil theft” was no longer in vogue, a development he said gave rise to his “senseless” outburst in blind support of a boy (Nnamdi Kanu) who he said doesn't know the meaning of war.
He called on all security agencies to smoke out Dokubo and his likes from their hideouts to answer for their hate speeches in the country, adding that he (Dokubo) is ‘a lone voice’ and Niger Delta Youth crave peace and development, not crises as being stoked by those he described despicable characters in the region.
Dokubo is not speaking for anyone in the Niger Delta region but himself, “he is a notable demagogue who reaps from chaos and acrimony and go hungry in the atmosphere of peace tranquility”, noting that accounting for blind support is against national interest.
“They shout Niger Delta, but in actual sense, they are after their selfish interests and not regional good. Dokubo was a pauper before the Niger Delta struggle but today, the regional struggle was hijacked by him and others for their pockets with all the factors that brought about the struggle still steering all of us in the face. Dokubo should cause trouble he alone can carry and not region.” Akpodoro stated.
He called on youths of the region to disregard criminal elements whose stock in trade was to cause trouble with their “uncouth tongue” only to run away when the trouble arises.
Niger Delta region has suffered neglect and deprivation from successive governments in the country and time has come for a serious administration to fix the region for the betterment of the people and this shouldn't be impeded by avoidable rascality and criminality.
