The Rotary Club of Osubi, District 9141 is to boost Okpe Local Government Area economy through micro credit scheme to petty traders, complete health centre with N10 million and carry out cancer screening tests in two Delta Communities with a view to curbing its menace, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

The 2017/2018 President of Rotary Club of Osubi, Rotarian Suala Yeri who made the disclosure Saturday September 2 at the PTI Conference Centre in Effurun, Delta State during his investiuture, averred that his leadership will consolidate on the 5-year plan of constructing a Rotary Centre in Osubi, which comprises of a health centre, civic centre, vocational centre and blood bank.

Rotarian Yeri, a Chief Officer, Administration at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, stated that apart from focusing on ending Polio in Nigeria, Rotary Club of Osubi is committed to the spread of reading culture in schools and the donation of educational materials to select-schools within her environment.

The immediate past President of Rotary Club of Osubi, Rotarian Akinyemi Akinfaloye enumerated the donation of cash to market women, educational support programmes to Oha Secondary School in Okpe Local Government Area and the support of one Mr. Sani Adams who went to India for constructive surgery as some of the achievements of Rotary Club of Osubi in 2016/2017 Rotary year.

The District Governor, District 9141, Nigeria, Rotarian Ogiemudia Ikponmwosa in a remark, challenged Rotarians and other well meaning Nigerians to look inwards into their communities with a view to giving back to the society.

Our Correspondent reports that highpoints of the investiture includes the induction of Board members and presentation of awards to distinguished Rotarians.
