Soeze urges Ubulu-Uku people to respect constituted authorities


The people of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Aniocha South local government area of Delta State have been called upon to respect constituted authorities and urgently put in oblivion nefarious activities to enable the ancient kingdom make more meaningful progress.
 
A mass communication scholar from first degree to doctoral level, Charles Ikedikwa  Soeze gave the advise while delivering a lecture titled “Moving Ubulu-Uku forward through patriotism: our roles” as guest speaker on the occasion of Ubulu-Uku Day held at the palace of His Royal Majesty (HRM) Obi Edward Akaeze Ofulue III, Agbogidi, the Obi of Ubulu-Uku kingdom recently.
 
Speaking further, the guest speaker made it abundantly clear that a good citizen and a patriot in community must honour the duties and obligations ascribed to him by the constituted authorities but not to engage in unruly behaviour.
 
His words “A good citizen and a patriot must be faithful and loyal to constituted authorities and not opposing every policies and proposing nothing”.
 
According to the mass communication scholar, to build, project and protect the Ubulu-Uku of our dreams, all hands must be on the pump in order to promote richer and improved lifestyle for everyone. He added that this lifestyle results from the passionate activities undertaken by individuals and groups towards the attainment of the positive results that they have greatly desired.
 
The guest speaker disclosed that the Ubulu-Uku people’s dream should be that dream which will promote richer and improved lifestyle for everyone. To him, the people of Ubulu-Uku kingdom must reap the results of good leadership by understanding and acting out what it entails. This can only be achieved if people, regardless of who they are, begin or continue to take responsibility for their lives and communities.
