A Niger Delta based group, Ndokwa Celebrity For Change has thrown its weight behind the appointment of Sir Ken Okolugbo as the member representing Ndokwa nation in the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, describing him as an epitome of generational change and development.
In a statement signed by the group’s chairman and secretary, Messrs Chika Okwolise and Akpone Julius, they commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for appointing Sir Ken Okolugbo as member of the reconstituted board of DESOPADEC.
According to the group, Sir Okolugbo’s antecedent, exposure and contributions to the development of Ndokwa nation in particular as well as PDP in general make his appointment a testament of governor Uduaghan’s determination to transform oil producing communities.
The statement which also commended Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Onyekachi Ochei as well as members of the State House of Assembly for the implicit confidence displayed in ratifying Sir Okolugbo’s appointment, appealed to the pockets of people in Ebede community expressing reservation about the appointment to join hands with other well meaning Ndokwa sons and daughters in ensuring quality representation by Sir Ken Okolugbo.
