The growing political gulf between Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the member representing Delta Central Senatoral District at the National Assembly, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress, APC appears to be widening, as the picture of Governor Okowa is conspicuously missing at the Senator’s Constituency Office in Ughelli, Fresh Angle International can exclusively report.
A visit to Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege’s Constituency Office at “Urhobo House”, almost opposite UBA Plc Office along Isoko Road in Ughelli, revealed “a no show” of Dr. Okowa’s picture, while the official portraits of President Muhammadu Buhari and that of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki were boldly positioned inside the Constituency Office at the ground floor.
The APC Lawmaker in an enlarged interactive media forum on Saturday October 14, took a swipe at the Okowa led Administration for allegedly failing to ‘disprove Dr.Cairo Ojougboh’s claim that the State Government signed a “blank 2017 budget” which didn’t include sectoral allocations.
It will be recalled that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and his team were reportedly attacked in Uvwe Local Government Area couple of months ago by thugs purportedly loyal to Governor Okowa and Hon. Evelyn Oboro of the House of Representatives, when he went on an empowerment programme for petty traders at Effurun Market.
Omo-Agege who won election on the platform of Labour Party, had since decamped to the APC and suddenly became arrowhead of the opposition APC in Delta State.
