The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Returning Officer for Warri South Local Government Party Primary, Uche Egbuche says Comrade Michael Tidi was returned as Warri South PDP chairmanship candidate for the January 6, 2018 Local Government election because all stakeholders unanimously affirmed him as their flag bearer in the affirmative primary held Friday October 27.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the exercise which attracted a large gathering of PDP Chieftains and faithful at the Warri South PDP Secretariat was witnessed by a representative of Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, Mr. Tedeye Omagba Augustine.

The immediate past Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema who was among  leaders of PDP at the affirmative primary, admonished Comrade Tidi to be focused and described Warri South Local Government as a peaceful destination for genuine investors.

An elated Tidi assured people of Warri South Local Government that he will sustain the ‘Operation Keep Warri Clean’ policy of Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema and described the former Warri South Council Boss’ performance as excellent amid the difficult economic situation in the country.

The Chairmanship hopeful declared that there is no opposition party in Warri South and Delta State at large, stressing that “Warri South belongs to PDP”.

According to Michael Tidi, youths constitutes more than 70% of the population of Delta State and Warri South in particular, hence his optimism of emerging victorious in the forthcoming January 6, 2018 Local Government poll.
