2019: Okumagba prays for Otofia ahead of Warri  South Constituency 2 battle

The Warri Urhobo Peoples Democratic Party Leader, Chief (Sir) Emmanuel Ono Okumagba (JP) has prayed for Warri South Constituency 2 Delta House of Assembly aspirant, Rev. David Otofia who is contesting the seat in 2019 under the PDP to succeed as he expressed confidence that the former Chairman of Okere Urhobo Community Development is the right candidate for the job.

Okumagba who was speaking during the declaration of the Secretary PDP Warri at his Amoforitse residence, Off Eboh Road, Warri stated that “I know that you have already won by the power of God. You are fit for the race and the good things you have done and the once you have been doing for the people of the constituency, have counted a lot for you. And the people will   throw their weight behind you. But, let me advised you, as you  enter the race, you have to work with everybody ,be friendly to all and work assiduously, so that you can win the primary, because the primary is another crucial aspect of the race of which I known the lord God will stands for you.” Chief Okumagba also urged his supporters to continue to stand for him at all times describing him as a true man of God and dedicated politician who has the interest of the people at heart.

Otofia had earlier in his speech  declared his interest to contest for the house of assembly under the PDP, promising to give quality representation to the people Warri South Constituency 11  if given the mandate to represent the constituency at the state house of assembly in 2019 , promising  further  to run all inclusive government for the betterment of the people of his constituency, “I came here today with my people to tell my father that I am ready to contest for the seat of Warri South constituency 11 and at the same time to seek for your blessing to enable me run the race”

Continuing, “if given the mandate, I assure you, I will not disappoint my people, their interest will be my number one priority in the house, I will proposed a bill that will benefit the people of my constituency, youths and women empowerment, will be my agenda and I will also key into the SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for the development of the constituency and the state at large. And my coming here also is to seek your support in all ramifications as a father and I have before now liaise with the incumbent member of the house to perfect the race and I need not to speak much of myself, it is the good I have done for the people of the constituency that will guarantee their support for me and according to what I have said earlier, I will not betray them if given the mandate come 2019” Rev. Otofia assured.

Speaking further, the Warri South constituency 11  House of Assembly hopeful, however,  His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the development of the state calling on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to support Okowa led administration for more  dividends of democracy and at the same time his second term bid.

He used the medium to call on the people of his constituency especially those who did not register for their voters card to go and register and get their voters cards which he said is the power to vote for him.

The Campaign Manager to Rev. Otofia Chief Isaac Emiforniye, Hon. Linda  Ikpuri, Chief Femi Okumagba, including others who spoke to newsmen at the event assured the people that Rev. Otofia will not disappoint the people of the constituency if given the mandate come 2019, according to them, “Rev. Otofia has been tested, trusted and reliable human being who can bring development to the people we are solidly behind him and we will continue to support him”

Others who also spoke in the same vein assured that Rev. Otofia is the person who can take the constituency to the promise land. Some of the PDP faithful members who grace the occasion  are; Hon. Paul Djesa, Hon. Jude Onovughe, Hon. Steven Dolor, Comr. Festus Otesiri, Chief Alice Atevure, Chief Femi Okumagba, Chief Mrs. J.J scout, Comr. Stanley Agbosa, Hon. Dafe Ikpuri, including others too numerous to mention.
