Men of the Nigerian Police Force on Thursday April 19, allegedly beat up a self acclaimed member of traffic task force simply identified as Mudiaga to near unconsciousness for purportedly harassing and intimidating an unidentified physically challenged commercial tricycle operator at the Warri Main garage in Warri, Delta State, Fresh Angle can exclusively report.
Fresh Angle gathered that Mudiaga in-company of other traffic taskforce members allegedly directed the unidentified physically challenged commercial tricycle operator to park by the side of the road, demanding an undisclosed amount from him. The policemen who were on routine patrol around the area stopped to ascertain why they ordered the physically challenged man to stop and park.
Not satisfied with the reason given by members of the traffic taskforce, the policemen who became infuriated descended on members of the taskforce who managed to run from the scene, leaving only Mudiaga in the hands of the Policemen. He was severely beaten up at about 11:10am.
While the beating lasted, Mudiaga reportedly tore the uniform of a police corporal to shreds in his bid to escape.
However, the police left Mudiaga with his head and eyes swollen and seriously gushing out with blood, promising to re-inforce with the aim of returning to Warri Main garage to deal with the taskforce members.
