As the reality of Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC departure greets residents of Warri as well as other parts of Delta State, feelers reaching Fresh Angle suggests that a couple of Deltans who managed to retain their jobs with the company are presently facing resistance from indigenes of PortHarcourt, Rivers State.
Fresh Angle gathered that some of the staff who were transferred to PortHarcourt from Warri are allegedly made to work outside their offices as a result of inadequate office apartment, even as the affected officers work with their personal laptops instead of official computers.
Investigations also reveal that an SPDC location in Ughelli North local government area, except for the men of the Nigerian Police, the Shell Police and local security, there is absolute disquiet and inactivity.
Fresh Angle also understands that virtually all the company’s properties in Delta State have been sold.
