A ghastly accident involving 3 commercial motorcycles at the ever busy Bomadi-Tuomo road has claimed the life of a 24-year old woman who is a native of Ekeremor town, Ekeremor local government area of Bayelsa State, Our Bomadi Correspondent reports.
Fresh Angle gathered that another female victim, 55-year old Katsina Kemepade, sustained high degree wound on her leg, while the 21-year old motorcycle rider is presently lying critically ill at the Bomadi General Hospital.
The deceased, late Mrs. Warefiniere Tukonboebiare who did not survive the accident died a few hours after she was taken to the emergency unit of Bomadi General Hospital.
It was gathered that the victim, late Mrs. Tukonboebiare lived with her husband at Tuomo town and she was travelling to Bomadi to see her brother when she met her untimely death.
According to Mrs. Kemepade who sustained injury on her leg, she was on her way to Tamigbe after a business trip to Bomadi when the accident occurred. She disclosed that the rider of the motorcycle conveying her had a head-on collision with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction while trying to avoid yet another motorcycle and the third motorcycle suddenly veered onto the road from a petrol station without watching along the Bomadi –Tuomo road.
She explained further, “I gained consciousness in the hospital where I was rushed to. I was told that another female passenger of one of the motorcycles involved in the accident died a few hours later. I thank God for sparing my life”.
