The Director-General of Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila Campaign Organization in the forthcoming House of Representatives’ Speakership position, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, says the incident of 2015 that led to the emergence of Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives, will not repeat itself, insisting, “there will be no surprise on Hon. Gbajabiamila’s emergence as Speaker,” come Tuesday June 11, when the 9th National Assembly will be inaugurated.
Hon. Jibrin who made the declaration Saturday June 8, during a TVC News current affairs programme, “Stand Point”, stated that the manner of voting, whether secret or open ballot, would not stop Hon. Gbajabiamila/Wase from emerging Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He stressed that they were sure of the support of no fewer than 60 lawmakers of PDP and have enough members to guarantee the victory of Hon. Gbajabiamila.
