Entertainment will increase Warri, Niger Delta GDP- Temisan declares

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of MayorKings Agency, Comrade Temisan Louis says if entertainment industry is encouraged in Warri and environs, it would increase the Gross Domestic Product, GDP of Delta State and other parts of Niger Delta.

 

Comrade Temisan Louis made the declaration Sunday June 9 in Warri, Delta State, while addressing select- journalists at a press conference to reel out activities of the forthcoming third edition of the Oil City Advancement Awards, OCAA, slated for August this year in Warri.

 

He opined that if government, the private sector and capable individuals support the entertainment industry in Niger Delta, it would empower youths and take them away from militancy.

 

He commended the immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Kingsley Emu, Engr. Victor Wood, Mr. Blessing Ofesi, Chief (Mrs). Shemite Bello and Mr. Anthony Nwangwu for their consistent support, urging others to also identity with MayorKings Agency.

 

Comrade Temisan, who is also the Chairman of the Award Screening Committee, disclosed that the award ceremony which comes up August 24, will be well attended by top government officials, dignitaries, community leaders as well as other interest groups across the state.

 

The Oil City Advancement Award, OCAA, will feature 40 award categories grouped into five: namely: Companies & Enterprise, Leadership & Excellence, CSR & Empowerment, Media & entertainment as well as humanitarian services.

 

Temisan added that companies and individuals are encouraged to submit multiple entries in multiple categories, saying the award is open to all and for females from ages 18-35 years, irrespective of size, colour, shape, tribe, religion and height.

 

The event will feature Miss Oil City Nigeria Pageantry and guests artistes such as Mr. Paul, Frank D Don't, MC Koliko, Mr. Parrot as well as Erigga and TJ Hays.

 

 

Others who spoke during the press conference included the official brand ambassador of MayorKings Agency, Queen Sandra Oyinyechukwu Onyeka, Program Manager, Obinna Nnadi, Models’ Director, Ovie Ogujor and the Group Head Artists and Models’ Management of the Agency, Mr. Edun Vincent Ariyor.
