Democracy Day: Shehu Sani’s jab on PMB over ex- Presidents’ boycott, gets knocks
Senator Shehu Sani

A tweet by Senator Shehu Sani, wherein he implied that the reported boycott of June 12 Democracy Day celebration by former Heads of State/ Presidents, was a sign that things are not going well with the incumbent and the ex- leaders learned the art of boycott from President Muhammadu Buhari, has elicited divergent reactions, with some hitting the vocal member of the 8th Senate hard and others giving him thumbs up.

Senator Sani in a tweet Thursday June 13, stated “when former Presidents and Heads of State, starts boycotting state functions in record numbers, it’s a sign that things are not going well with the incumbent or with the country. But if you can just recall history, they learned the art from the incumbent”.

Fresh Angle International can report that while the Kaduna Senator of the 8th Senate got a couple of thumbs up, Abuammar Mubarak and Ash Shakur hit the former lawmaker hard.

Abuammar Mubarak in his response tweet, declared, “joblessness is the grandfather of verbal diarrhea. Since you can no longer talk in the parliament, Twitter and Facebook can give you refuge to say whatever you like against PMB”.

Ash Shakur tweeted thus, “when those formers were in power, what benefit did their presence then gave to this country?”

As at the time of this report, the comment by the Senator was setting twitter alive with intense debate.
