Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State and Warri South Constituency 1 Candidate of the party in the last general elections, Prince Stanley Oritsemolebi Emiko, has expressed optimism that the inauguration of Chief Timipre Sylva, Festus Keyamo, SAN, Clement Agba, Godswill Akpabio, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi and other Niger Deltans as Ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari, was the right step in the right direction, because, “they will make the South-South people proud in terms of development and delivery of dividends of democracy to people of the grassroots”.

Prince Emiko who described the team of ministers from the Niger Delta as grassroots oriented personalities, posited that the portfolios given them by President Buhari was even more reassuring.

According to him, the dynamism and exposure of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Festus Keyamo, coupled with the experience of Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio as a proven performer, would transform into visible infrastructural development across the upland and coastal communities of the Niger Delta.

The APC Stalwart in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International Thursday August 22, emphasized that while Chief Timipre Sylva, “is certain to incorporate indigenous people of the Niger Delta with requisite capacity in running of the petroleum sector, thus enhancing growth in the oil and gas industry, Rt. Hon. Amaechi will consolidate on the development strides so far achieved by the Buhari administration in the transport sector as evident in the Ijakpe-Aladja Rail line”.

Prince Emiko was particularly confident that as Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clement Agba, will bring his input to bear in terms of setting the right framework for workable budgets, that would be people- driven and take millions of Nigerians out of poverty as promised in the ‘Next Level’ agenda of President Buhari.
