Lagos-Ibadan Rail Line: I am unhappy with the pace of work, Amaechi tells CCECC Group

The Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has told the Chairman of CCECC Group, Zhao Dianlong and the MD, CCECC Nigeria, Jiang Yi Gao, that he was unhappy with the pace of work at the Lagos-Ibadan rail line, with emphasis on the Apapa Port axis.

                                           

Fresh Angle International understands that the Minister expressed his displeasure today, Friday January 24, when he inspected the Lagos-Ibadan Rail Line.

 

While stressing the imperative for the contractor, CCECC Group to meet up set targets, the former Rivers State Governor, stated: “They've told us that the rail line up to Apapa would be completed by April, June for the minor stations and August for the major stations. We however hope that they'll speed up the work and finish earlier, so we can move on to Ibadan-Kano rail line.”
