Urhobo Nation, arguably the fifth largest ethnic Nationality in Nigeria will get a new beauty queen come Sunday August 7, 20016, Fresh Angle International can report.
The beauty pageantry which is being organized by Dembaqq Entertainment Production in collaboration with National Union of Urhobo Students, NUUS will feature 24 contestants, representing the 24 Kingdoms in Urhobo Nation.
According to the organizers, this year’s edition which is the second to be held is tagged, “entrepreneurship contest”, and “each qualified contestant automatically has scholarship to learn a skill in photography, makeover, decoration and cake making” among others.
The aim of the contest is to empower women to be self confident and strive to be their best, promote the cultural heritage as well as unity in Urhobo Nation and raise funds for charity.
The contestants will undergo boot camp for six days and embark on courtesy visit to kings of Urhobo Nation, Local Government Chairmen, the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly and selected Chiefs in Urhobo Nation, before the grand finale billed for Fresh Ville Hotel, Okuokoko near Warri.
