24 Hrs to Supreme Court Judgment: NSCDC deploys 1,000 personnel to Kogi to avert breakdown of law and order


Barely 24 hours to tomorrow’s Supreme Court Judgment, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC has deployed over 1,000 personnel to all part of Kogi State to avert breakdown of law and order before, during and after the court ruling, Our Roving National Correspondent reports.
The Kogi State Commandant of NSCDC, Everestus Obiyo stated this at a press briefing in Lokoja.
Commandant Obiyo vowed that the Command will not hesitate to deal with any individual who disturbs public peace after the court judgment.
He quipped that NSCDC has started a countdown to the Supreme Court Judgment as it will determine the fate of Captain Idris Wada, James Faleke, and Alhaji Yahaya Bello and stressed on the need for peace in the state.

While reiterating the Corps mandate to protect critical infrastructure in the state, stressed that peace is the hallmark of any meaningful development and enjoined Kogites to be calm and urged youths in the state to desist from any act that will land them into trouble.
He advised Parents, guardians and traditional rulers were also told to educate their wards on the need to themselves in meaningful business.
It will be recalled that, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has slated Tuesday September 20, 2016 to determine the case filed by Honorable James Faleke, Captain Idris Wada against Alhaji Yahaya Bello the incumbent governor of Kogi State.
