A major power-show is brewing in Kogi State as the State Governor , Alhaji Yahaya Bello has ordered the five Local Government administrators who were suspended Tuesday October 4 by the Kogi State House of Assembly to remain in office, Fresh Angle International can report.
The Governor who spoke today, Wednesday October 5 through his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Petra Akinti Oyagbule, said his administration was not briefed by the State House of Assembly before suspending the five Local Government administrators, even as he blamed the Legislators for taking such decision “without considering the interest of the State and the harmonious relationship that exist between the legislative and the executive arm “.
Our Roving National Correspondent reported yesterday that the suspension of the five Local Government administrators came in a matter of urgent public importance raised before the Floor of the House by the member representing Igala Mela Odolu Constituency, Friday Sanni, accusing the administrators of misappropriating local government funds.
The affected Local Government administrators are: Igalamela, Ogori, Ijumu, Kabba Bunu and Okehi, while the five administrators suspended by the State House of Assembly are: Baron Okwoli Igalamela, Moses Akande Ogori, Tapfiq Isah Ogori, Moses Olorunleke Ijumu and Abdulkareem Ohiare from Okehi.
