An unbelievable incident occurred in Ogunu Community, Warri, Delta State on Saturday October 22 when the father of a 13-year old girl, Oghenemene (surname withheld) ordered his daughter not to let anyone know that she was raped by her neighbours.
The teenager girl who is the first child of her unemployed parents went to meet their male neighbor for the usual help which her parents rely on when the man took advantage and raped her.
The suspect has been the one sponsoring the girl’s education as well as other bills of the obviously poor parents. Father of the girl warned the Victim and her mother not to divulge the information to anyone, while the neighbour who defiled her showed no remorse and has even threatened not to assist the teenager again for daring to tell her parents.
