It was an atmosphere of warmth, love, gratitude and thanksgiving to God Almighty Tuesday 7th July, as people from all walks of life converged at the country home of Olorogun Barr. John Nani, Chairman, Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission in Jesse, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State to celebrate an exceptional leader fondly called the Aghwemutuwevwi of Idjere kingdom by his teeming supporters.
Barr. John Nani in his welcome speech, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who came from far and near to celebrate him on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, adding that God who has been his sole anchor, has blessed him and helped him to surmount all challenges hence, the reason he was admonishing all to put their confidence in Him, together with diligence and hard work so they can achieve their desired results.
Thanking the MD/CEO DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor, His Royal Majesty, Monday Whiskey, Ovie of Idjere kingdom, Chiefs and a host of others for their show of love and prayers for him and family, he prayed God to bless them in return.
The Managing Director/CEO, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Chief Festus Ochonogor while delivering his goodwill message on behalf of the Board, Management and staff of the Commission, described Barr. John Nani as a jolly good fellow, noting that his unwavering commitment, contributions and exemplary leadership in steering the ship of the Commission has brought tremendous peace, unity and development to the Board and the people of DESOPADEC mandate communities. Chief Ochonogor therefore, prayed for more impactful leadership, peace and long healthy life for the celebrant.
Also speaking, the traditional ruler of Idjere kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Monday Whiskey thanked God for the life of the celebrant, describing him as an illustrious son the people of Idjere kingdom adore, adding that Barr. Nani has brought sunshine through various developmental projects and empowerment to women and youths in the kingdom. He thus, prayed for God's continuous blessings upon him to enjoy the fruit of his labour.
The royal Father who was a former staff of the Commission prayed for better days where all will be proud to be associated with, adding that the template they had worked on will continue to yield more positive results for staff and the host communities in the nearest future.
Others who spoke at the event, amongst whom were High Chief Solomon Ojariafe Odemero, JP, the Unugbrogodo of Idjere kingdom; Hon. Ejiro Jamani, APC House of Assembly candidate for Sapele constituency; Comr. Sagboje Milton, President of Nigeria Youth Council, Delta State Chapter; Mrs. Asoro Felicia, women leader, Idjere women in politics and Barr. Frank John Nani also praised the uprightness and doggedness of Barr. John Nani in the pursuit of his dreams.
Acknowledging the immense contributions of the celebrant, they described Barr. Nani as a man with a golden heart, very accessible and a dependable leader who over the years, has affected their lives positively whilst they prayed God to grant him more fruitful years and take him higher and higher to continue to be a blessing to humanity.
