Ex-Kogi Speaker’s CPS kidnapped, abductors demand N40m


A one-time Chief Press Secretary, CPS to former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, David Ehimoni, has been kidnapped by gunmen.

According to a source, Mr. Ehimoni was abducted Wednesday June 14 while on his way to Ikare in Ondo State to pick his kids for their Mid-term break.

He was reportedly taken to an unknown destination by his abductors who are demanding forty million naira as ransom.

The source said, “Several hours after the abduction, the kidnappers contacted the family of the former Chief Press Secretary to Clarence Olafemi and demanded N40m as ransom, saying they would not release him if the money was not paid.”

The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph declined picking his calls as at the time of this report.
