Melaye’s Recall: Babachir Lawal, Customs’ Boss, accused of conspiring with Bello

Suspended Secretary to Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir David Lawal and the current Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd.) have been accused of collaborating with the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello of sponsoring the ongoing recall process of the embattled lawmaker from Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the Publicity Secretary, All Progressive Congress, Ijumu Local Government, Kogi State, Gbenga Bright made the allegation in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja Wednesday June 28, saying the “party is aware of the unholy secret meeting between the duo and incumbent governor”.

Bright said, “Investigation revealed that the duo were secretly consulted by Kogi State Government to seek and use their national influence and clout to influence and support the governor on the ongoing  futile recall journey desperately sponsored by Kogi State government”.

The APC scribe claimed that, Senator Dino Melaye in the last few months while exercising his constitutional legislative function and roles at the Senate, had running battle with Mr.  Babachir Lawal.

"We want to assure Our party leaders, teeming supporters, youths, the good and loyal electorates of Kogi West and the Public, that  Senator Dino Melaye is not worried, unshaken by the their satanic gang up against his person,” the statement declared.
