It was a shameful sight Friday October 13 in Okpe, Uvwie and Warri South Local Government Areas of Delta State as parents rushed down to both public and private schools to take their children from their daily academic activities over false alarm that men of the Nigerian Armed Forces alongside other members of the force that formed ‘Operation Crocodile Smile II’ were injecting pupils and students with deadly vaccines, especially “Monkey Pox”.
The baseless rumour spread like wildfire even though none of the parents or pupils/students could attest to setting their eyes on the alleged uniform men responsible for the so called deadly vaccine.
The Headmistress of Ometan Primary School, Ughoton in Okpe Local Government Area,
Mrs. Aberekori Doris told Fresh Angle International that parents started trooping to the school as early as 9am to pick their children from school, but explained that she declined them access.
Vice Chairman of Ughoton Community, Mr. David Aworedjo and some of the community vigilante members reportedly rushed down to provide security in the school.
