Police kill robbery suspect after Warri/Effurn shootout

An armed robbery suspect was at about 8:30pm Sunday January 28 shot dead by a Police Team from the Police ‘A’ Division in Warri, after a shootout that began from Ajamimogha in Warri to Hotel D’ Mark in Effurun, both in Delta State.

The unknown robbery suspect was said to be a member of a four-man gang operating at Ajamimogha and its environs, when they sighted the Police Patrol Team which acted on a tip-off from Ajamimogha Youth President, Mr. Scott Awani.

Impeccable source told Our Senior Correspondent that the bandits opened fire on the Police Team as they were escaping, the exchanges continued from Ajamimogha to Hotel D’Mark in Effurun, when the Patrol Team managed to gun down the unknown suspect, while the other three members of the gang escaped with various degree of bullet wounds.

Report says items recovered from the robbers included one pump action gun, a pistol fully loaded with ammunition and the vehicle they used in the operation.

The recovered vehicle has the following plate numbers: AH 348 ABH and Lagos FST 133 AH.
