2019: Why we want Okowa to return as Delta Governor, Group

Members of a political pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Delta Mandate say they want Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to run for a second term because “in the 25 Local Government Area of Delta State, there are completed or ongoing projects”.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that this was the fallout of the group’s Delta South ‘Mega Rally’ held in Warri, Monday February 26.

National President of PDP Mandate, High Chief Isaac Ozo Anwuzia who addressed members of the group during the rally stated that Governor Okowa has extended road projects as well as other basic social amenities to coastal communities in the State since assuming office.

According to him, “the unity in Delta State has been strengthened since Okowa took over as Governor and he has “judiciously apply resources accruing to Delta State.

Former member of Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Funkekeme Solomon who also spoke at the rally noted that governorship of the State will remain in Delta North come 2019 and the Governor is entitled to second tenure like his predecessors.

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, Deputy National President of PDP Mandate, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, Chief Edwin Uzor, PDP Delta South Senatorial District Chairman, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Barr. Edewor Omonemu, Chief (Dr.) Joseph Otumara, Hon. Daniel Mayuku of Delta State House of Assembly, Chairman of PDP Warri North, Dr. Isaac Wilkie, Hon. Omimi Esquire and Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru were among PDP chieftains that spoke at the rally.
