Ahead of the 2019 general polls,an all-female group, Faithful Women for Okowa 2019 has begun a campaign targeted at bringing no fewer than 25,000 women to its fold, Fresh Angle International can report.
This much was disclosed Wednesday May 23 in Warri by President of Faithful Women for Okowa 2019, Madam Eunice Okoro, when she led some members of the group on a visit to Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi.
The group's president explained that the 25 local government areas in Delta State will have co-ordinators, who shall be foot-soldiers in the quest to get 1,000 women in each of the 25 local government area as part of efforts to ensure Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is re-elected as governor of Delta State in 2019.
Warri South Local Government Boss, Hon. Michael Tidi in his response, described Dr. Okowa's re-election bid as "our priority" and admonished the group to liaise with his vice, Mrs. Divine Iniovosa and Special Adviser,Mrs. Tos Kukune in their resolve to firm up the group in Warri South Local Government Area.
Special Adviser to Hon. Tidi on Non Indigenes' Affairs, Chief Charles Iwuchuku was on ground when the women visited.
