Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi says members of Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South Local Government, worked round the clock to ensure re-elected Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa polled over 34,000 votes in Warri South alone in the just held Governorship election, compared to the over 22,000 votes garnered by the governor in the 2015 polls.

 

Dr. Tidi who made the disclosure Tuesday March 12 at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri, Delta State, during a special thanksgiving service organized by the leadership of PDP in Warri South Local Government Area, declared, “thank God for what he has done for Deltans, particularly people of Warri South who spoke loud and clear that Warri South, Delta State is for Dr. Okowa and PDP”.

The Warri South Council Chief Security Officer while expressing gratitude to God and people of Warri South for “electing Senator James Manager, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Dr. Augustine Uroye and Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru” of PDP, added, “Atiku will be given power in due time, because power belongs to God”.

 

Chairman of PDP in Warri South, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe in a remark, stated, “it is a clear message to Deltans and Nigerians that Warri South and Delta State is PDP and PDP is Warri South, PDP will take over the country”.

 

Founding leader of PDP in Warri South Local Government Area, Chief Roland Oritsejafor, admonished PDP members, “let’s keep our unity that led us to victory”.

 

President – General of Okere-Urhobo and Chieftain of PDP, Chief Emmanuel Okumagbe, asserted, “we have been vindicated, devoid ourselves from ethnic to party politics”.

 

Legislator – Elect for Warri South Constituencies 1, Dr. Augustine Uroye, stated, “let’s sustain the victory, I will do everything to represent the people properly. To losers, it’s all about Warri South, join us, because the PDP umbrella is big enough”.

On his part, Legislator –Elect of Warri South Constituency II, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru, averred, “I thank Dr. Otumara and thank even those whom fought against me, I have won”.
