Esimaje Awani to Agbateyiniro: You are the recognized INYC President

President of Itsekiri National Youth Congress, INYC, Comrade Esimaje Awani, has described the President of Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro as “the only recognized President of INYC”, saying whoever parades his or herself as parallel president of the Itsekiri apex body, “should be dealt with and disregarded”.

Comrade Awani advocated for the best and qualified Itsekiris to be given opportunities to handle certain strategic offices, irrespective of party differences, noting that damages done to Itsekiri Nation was caused by greedy Itsekiris.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that he made the declaration Saturday May 18, during a unity rally organized to affirm the oneness the Itsekiri youth body now have.

The unity rally which started at INYC Secretariat, Odion Road in Warri, moved from Cemetery Road to Warri -Sapele Road, Hausa Quarters, Deco Road, Okumagba Avenue, Estate Roundabout, Airport Road, Ajamimogha and terminated at Olu Palace Field, Warri. 

Addressing Itsekiri youths, INYC President, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro noted that the INYC unity congress, “is a sign to show the world that Itsekiri is not in shortage of young men and women to be engaged in any advanced need for betterment of Itsekiri and Warri kingdom”.

Comrade Agbateyiniro commended Esimaje Awani for toeing the line of peace, leading to the united INYC, assuring that they won't disappoint Itsekiri Nation.

He pointed out that the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, directed all factions to come together and work as a united body in order to move Warri kingdom forward, adding, "history has shown that anytime Itsekiri youths come together in unity, they are unstoppable and that is why His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli has blessed, endorsed and commissioned this council to do.",

The INYC President described the Warri Monarch as a blessing to Warri kingdom, who has shown love and care for his subjects by uniting them. 

Fresh Angle International can report that Itsekiris from Warri South, Warri North, Warri South-West, Ethiope East, Ethiope-West, Obiaruku in Ukwuani Local Government Area, Ologbo, Kolokolo and Ugba, in Delta and Edo States, participated in the unity rally.

A committee chaired by Comrade James Aderojo, Comrade Eburajolo and three other persons, including a female, was inaugurated to actualize the “Deghele Declaration”.

Other notable Itsekiris that spoke at the event include: Comrade Amaechi Ogbitse Ogbonna, Barr. Desmond Dudu, President of National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, Comrade  Collins Edema, Comrade Appearance Afejuku and ICT Media Coordinator of INYC, Comrade Lucky Futughe.
