There are palpable fears amongst commuters, motorists and other stakeholders plying the busy NPA Expressway by Ekpan Flyover in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, following cracks noticed at the base of the flyover.
The flyover reportedly built more than 30 years ago, links Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC and its subsidiaries as well as other critical commercial areas in twin city of Warri and Effurun.
Some motorists and pedestrians, who spoke to Our Senior Correspondent, stated that no maintenance work had been carried out on the flyover since it was constructed.
They called on the relevant government agency (ies) to evaluate the state of the flyover with a view to effecting immediate repairs on the fractured section.
