Put in your best, Airforce Chief charges newly promoted NAF Officers

The former Commander 61NAF Nigeria Airforce Warri, Air Commodore P.J Usman (Rtd.) has charged the newly promoted Airforce Officers and Men to always put in their best in their services to the Airforce and their father land.

Fresh Angle International can report that the former Airforce boss gave the charge Wednesday September 28 during the decoration of nine newly promoted Officers and AirMen at Osubi Airstrip near Warri, Delta State.

Commodore Usman wished the newly promoted Officers and Airmen well in all their endeavours.

In his remark, the 61NAF Commander Warri, Air Commodore Sani Zakari urged the newly decorated Officers and Airmen to do more to justify the confidence reposed on them by exhibiting the spirit of hard-work, resilience and steadfastness in discharging their duties.

Air Commodore Zakari advised the newly decorated Officers and Airmen to always take good care of their various families in-line with the current economic situation of the country.

The Airforce boss in an interview with newsmen, disclosed that the Airforce is in Delta to render service to the people, noting that they have been collaborating with other security agencies in bringing peace to the Niger Delta.

Air Commodore Zakari noted that the Nigeria Airforce provides Medical Services up to some level to both Airforce Officers and non Airforce personnel free of charge, just as he described the nine newly promoted Officers and Airmen as lucky.

Also speaking, the Acting Commander, Nigeria Naval Air Station, Effurun, Commander MS Shettima, admonished the newly decorated Officers and personnel to imbibe the spirit of efficiency at all times as well as take orders from their superiors always.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted Officers and Airmen, Flight Lieutenant Eugene Bayem, lauded the 61NAF Commander, Air Commodore Zakari for his guidance and discipline in making sure they put in their best, even as he quipped that the leadership of Air Commodore Zakari has led to their promotions.

Flight Lieutenant Bayem assured the Airforce boss that they will put in their best in the discharge of their duties, adding that their new rank will spur them to render selfless service to the Airforce and their father land.

The nine newly promoted and decorated Officers and Airmen are: Flight Lieutenant Eugene Bayem, Flight Lieutenant Oluwafemi Abiodun, Master Warrant Joseph Gbileka, Warrant Officer Jonathan LA, Flight Sergeant Ediga J, Corporal Benson S, Lance Corporal Abdulrashid YA, Flight Sergeant Minette DS and Lance Corporal Ubanyi AE.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that other notable top ranking officers present during the decoration include the Nigeria Navy Ship NNS Delta Ship Commander, Commodore Joseph Dzunve, Major Abdulkadir of 3 Battalion Effurun, Chief Superintendent of Police CSP Dike Albert, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Coordinator, Capt. Kunle Olayiwola, Col. BMA Gbemisi and the General Manager Shoreline Osubi, Femi Oyedirun.
