Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema has assured that he will continue to do what is right in terms of delivering good governance despite paucity of fund, occasioned by inadequate monthly allocation from the federation account.

He gave the assurance Thursday October 27 at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri, Delta State in a chat with newsmen, shortly after a praise and worship section organized to commemorate the second year in office of his administration.

The Warri South Council Boss, who described the past two years of his administration as wonderful, noted that people have been describing Warri South Local Government Area as the cleanest in Delta State as a result of his administration’s concerted effort targeted at ensuring a cleaner Warri amid obvious challenges.

Hon. Edema stated that his leadership has continued to achieve a lot in the area of primary health care via the provision of infrastructures, power and medical facilities in the health centres as well as other social responsibilities due to a strategic policy hinged on acknowledging the place of God in everything the administration does.

While admonishing civil servants to remain dedicated to their jobs amid salary challenges, Hon. Edema led prayer for Nigeria, Delta State and Warri South Local Government Area in a bid to take the country out of the current economic challenges.

Our Correspondents report that Councilors, Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Hon. Bawo Alex Nanna, Supervisors, Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mr. Agbate Kenneth, Directors, Heads of Department as well as staffers of the council participated in the praise and worship programme.
