The leadership of GRA Ward of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South Local Government Area, has expelled Barr. Esimaje Awani from the party, saying Barr. Awani's purported failure to appear before a disciplinary committee, was a breach of Article 58 (1) of the constitution of PDP.
Recall that Barr. Awani while addressing his supporters in Warri, Saturday February 22, gave the PDP in Warri South Local Government Area two weeks ultimatum to reverse his earlier suspension or face litigation.
In what looks like a reaction to Barr. Awani's warning over the weekend, the leadership of PDP in GRA Ward, earlier today, Wednesday February 26, in a letter addressed to " Esimaje Awani ESQ" barred Barr. Awani from parading himself as member of the PDP.
In the correspondence which was signed by Tosan Sholuwa and Austin Edon, Chairman and Secretary, respectively of PDP, GRA Ward, the party, averred: " Should you fail to heed to the above directive/ notice, appropriate steps shall be taken to enforce the above directive."
