The Delta Seaports Stakeholders’ Association has commended the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman, saying her recent appointment of a project consultant to carry out project Needs’ Assessment in NPA Host Communities in Delta State , will “forestall further hijack of NPA Host Communities’ Projects,” by elected representatives under the guise of constituency projects.

Chairman of Delta Seaports Stakeholders’ Association, Emiko Oghomienor in a statement issued in Warri Tuesday June 27 on behalf of the association, declared that the NPA Warri Host Communities “have received Messrs Lean & Agile Project Consultants who have carried project needs assessment exercise in the NPA Warri Host Communities”.

The statement emphasized that the move will ensure that NPA projects in the immediate future are not only situated across the host communities, but are designed to meet the needs of the host communities.

While expressing optimism that the initiative will be pursued by Ms Hadiza Usman to a fruitful end, Delta Seaports Stakeholders’ Association assured the NPA Boss of her preparedness to organize the host communities in a bid to collaborate with NPA towards achieving the laudable objective.

The association restated her desire to pay solidarity visit to Ms Usman in the nearest possible time with a view to strengthening the working relationship geared towards boosting commercial activities in Delta Ports.
