Immediate past chairman of Warri South Local Government Transition Committee and former Secretary to the local government, Dr. Augustine Uroye on Saturday August 12 began consultative engagement with people of Warri South Local Government Area ahead of the forthcoming Delta State Local Government election with a visit to Ode-Itsekiri ward.

The ex Warri South Council Boss who was flanked by some prominent political and community leaders, explained that it was necessary to get the fatherly blessing as well as support of people of his ward in his ambition to occupy Warri South chairmanship position in the next local government election under the platform of PDP.

The Peoples Democratic Party leader of Ode-Itsekiri Ward, Pa. Benson Lori, assured Dr. Uroye of massive support of people of the ward, saying Dr. Uroye has distinguished himself among other aspirants vying for the Warri South top job.

Popular Warri community leader, PDP stalwart and prominent stakeholder in Chevron’s GMoU Model, Ambassador Austin Oniyesan who was among those that accompanied Dr. Uroye to Ode-Itsekiri, noted that the former Warri South Transition Committee Chairman performed creditably while in office, hence the need to leverage on his experience by voting him as the next Warri South chairman.

He assured Dr. Uroye of mobilizing people of Ajigba, Inorin, Usele, Ugbodede, Orugbo and environs towards the actualization of his ambition.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Security, Reinelt Yemiete and the Ogieboro of Inorin, Blessing Igbiaye also assured the chairmanship hopeful of their support.
