The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli has assured victims of the tanker explosion at Ubeji in Warri South Local Government Area that relief materials were underway to cushion the effect of the multi million naira destruction.
The respected Warri Monarch who gave the assurance Saturday September 9 when he visited Ubeji, scene of the Thursday night diesel tanker explosion, commended Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for swiftly sending a delegation of the state government to ascertain the extent of damage caused by the blast.
While thanking God that no life was lost in the inferno, the Olu of Warri enjoined the contractor handling the Ubeji road expansion project to expedite work so as to avoid a reoccurrence of the unfortunate incident.

He commended Governor Okowa for re-awarding the Ubeji Road Project to another contractor, stressing that when completed, it will open up other Itsekiri communities.
