Itsekiri Nation will be better, if we have three of you, Olare-Aja tells Emami
Chief Emami, after handing down instruction on the clean-up, in a section of Ode-Itsekiri


The Olare-Aja of Ode-Itsekiri (Big Warri) in Warri South Local Government Area, Pa. Johnson Gbenebitse, on Saturday February 29, prayed for the Ologbotsere (Traditional Prime Minister) of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami, saying Itsekiri Nation will be better developed if it has three of Chief Emami.

                                                   

The elated community head, made the pronouncement at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of Itsekiri people, during the community’s monthly environmental sanitation exercise facilitated by Chief Emami.

Fresh Angle International can report that the February clean-up exercise, which was witnessed by Chief Emami, President of Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC, Mr. Weyinmi Agbateyiniro and youth leaders of Ode-Itsekiri, was the first in 2020, after introduction of the monthly sanitation programme early 2019.

Supervisor of the Programme, Prince Stanley Oritsemolebi Emiko, announced that after considering the necessary criteria, Irigbo Quarters emerged cleanest, after today’s exercise and went home with a cash prize of fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00).

The three quarters that make-up Ode-Itsekiri: Irigbo, Ogbe and Orioke, participated in the clean-up, which witnessed impressive turn-out of men, women and youths.

Prince Emiko, mentioned the cleanliness of the roads along the town, after clearing of over-grown weeds as well as the cleanliness of the drains, as major criteria used in determining the quarter that won the first prize.
