An HND II Accountancy student, Comrade Ifodo Otomane Raymond has emerged president of Delta State Polytechnic, DSPT, Otefe Oghara Student Union Government, SUG after polling 868 votes in a recently conducted election, Our Delta Central Correspondent reports.
Our Delta Central Correspondentreports that the election which held at the School of Computer Science Block at the Institution’s campus saw Comrade Ifodo Otomane Raymond defeating Joseph Luya Anthony who polled 604 votes, Imarah Festus 191 votes, Odeh Omamuyovwi Alex 235 votes’ and Dibri Emmanuel Oghenevwegba 345 votes.
Comrade Ifodo, in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle shortly after his election promised to build a bridge between the students and the school management as well as to serve the interest of the students.
The Dean of Student Affairs,DSPT, Mr. Samuel Enudi had in a remark before the election admonished students of the school to shun any form of crisis and electoral misconduct.

Other candidates that emerged victorious in the election include: Comrade Monye Josephine, Vice President 1, Comrade Obutu Itsebanro Raymond, Vice President 2(SPAT) Comrade Dobri Achoja Courage, Secretary General, Comrade Obiebi Ogaga Elvis, Financial Secretary and Comrade Amukpa Festus, Treasurer .
