Pa. Omasan Edukugho

The Olare-Aja (Head) of Omadino Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Pa. Omasan Edukugho, has raised alarm, saying he signed an unknown document under duress on Saturday July 25, after one Benjamin Akoreh, an indigene of Omadino, took him to a hotel in Warri, for a purported peace meeting.

This Newspaper understands that they have been leadership tussle in the crude oil-rich Omadino community for some time now.

Pa. Edukugho, who raised the alarm Tuesday July 28 during an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International, at a private hospital in Warri, noted that he had been in shock after he was allegedly forced to sign the document, urging Omadino indigenes to remain calm as he was determined to reconcile all factions in the community.

While stating that no copy of the controversial document was made available to him thereafter, the 93-year old Pa. Edukugho enjoined people of Omadino and members of the public to disregard the said document for whatever purpose it was intended, explaining that any document not bearing the signatures of the, “Acting Secretary of Omadino Council of Elders, Elder Jonald Ometan and Priests of the community, is null and void”.

He called on the Police Area Command in Warri and other security chiefs, to arrest and prosecute those responsible for fueling the leadership crisis in Omadino.
