A young woman identified as Rosemary Ejiro Malley who absconded from her marital home since September 19, 2012 over alleged move by her husband, 58-year old Chief John Okigbe and her aunty, Joy Malley to forcefully circumcise her is yet to be found, Fresh Angle has learnt.
It was reliably gathered that the run-away wife, Rosemary Ejiro Malley was forcefully betrothed to Chief John Okigbe by her aunty, Miss Joy Malley.
According to a statement by Pastor of Jesus Healing Ministry International, Peter Edirin, Rosemary Ejiro Malley’s estranged husband, Chief John Okigbe who already have two wives and her aunty, Miss Joy Malley wanted to coerce Rosemary into female genital mutilation (circumcision) “so she can have complication and die so they can inherit her father’s property”.
Pastor Edirin whose Church is situated at Yagola clan in Agbasa, Warri, Delta State acknowledged that he was initially giving assistance to the run-away Rosemary who refused to worship idols owned by her husband, Chief Okigbe but had to stay clear when Rosemary’s husband and her aunt’s attitude was becoming a threat and embarrassment to his church.
Husband to Rosemary, Chief John Okigbe who has been looking for his run-away wife lives at Yagola Clan, Agbasa in Warri, Warri South local government, the same place Warri branch of Jesus Healing Ministry International is situated.
All efforts to locate Rosemary Ejiro Malley’s where-about since she absconded from her marital home September 2012 have been futile.
