Warri Chief and C.E.O of A&E Petrol, Chief Ayirimi Emami says his company decided to drag the Kero-Direct Programme initiated for Delta Riverine Communities to Pessu Market Water-Side in Warri, Warri South Local Local Government to enable people from Ogbe-Ijoh Area, Aladja and Warri corner access kerosene at cheaper rate.

Chief Emami gave the explanation Monday October 13 at the Pessu Market Water-Side in Warri while supervising the sale of over 500,000 litres of kerosene to thousands of traders and other business owners in the market area.

While thanking the Federal and State Governments for choosing A&E Petrol to assist the less privileged through the sale of subsidized kerosene at N 50 per litre, Chief Emami promised continuity of the Kero-Direct Programme and possibly include the sale of subsidized fuel so long as his company gets supply consistently.

He declared that his company will not sell beyond N50 per litre to any individual to avoid a situation where the product which is already experiencing scarcity in gas stations will be hoarded and sold at exorbitant prices.

Chief Emami promised to liaise with the Hon. Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Deziani Allison Maduekwe and the Delta State Government with a view to incorporating the sale of subsidized petrol in the programme across the Riverine Communities of the State.

He called on people of the State, especially the Riverine Communities to support the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 to enable him continue its laudable programmes for Nigerians and people of Niger Delta communities in particular.

Three beneficiaries of the programme, Madam Polo Emadedon, Rachael Ogboru, a nurse and Olukuyon Emmanuel, who said he is unemployed, thanked A&E Petrol for extending the Kero- Direct Programme to Pessu Water-Side, stating that they hardly get the product to buy and whenever it is available at filling stations, it sells for between N150 and N175 per litre.
