Matrix Energy targets over 2,000 Deltans for free eye clinic outreach

Prominent indigenous Oil and Gas Company operating in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Matrix Energy Group Limited, on Monday January 17, began a 6-day free eye clinic outreach in Warri, with a target to reach over 2,000 persons in Ifie, Egbokodo, Ubeji, Aja-Etan and Ijala- Ikeren Communities. 

 

The free Medicare, which entails the distribution of free glasses, free refractor tests and free drugs at Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital, Ubeji, will end Saturday January 22.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the Group Head, Safety and Environment, Matrix Energy Group Limited, Mr. Frederick Olomuro, explained the company was carrying out the free eye clinic outreach, in collaboration with Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital, Ubeji.

 

Mr. Olomuro, noted that Matrix Energy means well for its host communities, hence sustenance of the annual programme, which covers people from outside the company’s five host communities.

Whilst appealing to people of the host communities to remain peaceful, Mr. Olomuro, stressed that logistics for people of the host communities to attend venue of the 6-day medical outreach and return home, has been provided by the company, just as he emphasized that all services carried out, including consultation and dispensing of drugs, are part of the Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR of Matrix Energy.

 

Consultant Optometric, in-charge of Eye Clinic, Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital, Ubeji, Dr. Tosan Amorighoye and Nurse Blessing Leleji, advised residents of the host communities of Matrix Energy, to eat well, take fruits and avoid polluting the environment with human activities, in order to live a healthy life and have good eye sight.

 

Dr. Amorighoye, charged people of the area to take advantage of the free eye clinic outreach.

 

Some beneficiaries, expressed delight for the programme and commended the management of Matrix Energy, assuring the company of sustained peaceful business environment.
