Nigeria’s cooking gas market value reaches N100billion, surpassing N10billion estimation

Despite the increasing cost of domestic gas, otherwise known as Liquified Petroleum Gas, LPG, the market value of Nigeria’s LPG is currently estimated at N100billion, surpassing the initial N10 billion estimated some years ago.

Fresh Angle International understands that the Programme Manager, National LPG Expansion Plan, Office of the Vice President, Mr. Adedayo Adeshina, reportedly revealed the increase in market value of Nigeria’s LPG, while speaking at the ongoing 2nd West Africa LPG Expo and Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association’s Summit 2022.

Locally, the price of a 12.5kg cooking gas, now sells for between N9,500.00 and N10,000.00, compared to the average N4,500.00 few years back.
