The rising number of COVID - 19 infections across Nigeria in the last three weeks, recorded a huge spike in last few days as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, reported a total of 880 fresh infections this morning, Saturday July 9.
According to figures obtained by Fresh Angle International few minutes ago from the verified twitter handle of NCDC, Lagos recorded the highest infections with 750 cases and was followed by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT with 48 infections.
Rivers, Delta and Akwa - Ibom states, reported 40, 21 and 11 cases respectively.
While Kano, Nasarawa and Plateau states, recorded 5, 4 and 1 infections, respectively.
This Newspaper, understands from available data posted by the NCDC that Nigeria, now has 258,517 confirmed cases of COVID - 19, with 250,388 discharged and 3,144 deaths.
