Detectives of the Nigerian Police attached to Obiaruku Division in Delta State have arrested one Harrison Ofesi of Iyese Street, Opposite UBA, Abbi Town for allegedly stocking several wraps of weeds on reams from two tyres, Fresh Angle International can report.
According to a statement released Wednesday March 30 by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Celestina Kalu, the services of a vulcanizer were procured to remove the reams from the tyres and upon the search, the tyres were discovered to have been stocked with several wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
The statement which was made available to Our Correspondent also revealed that three men, one Jamilu Oseni (male) aged 42, Aliu Mohammed (male) aged 35 and Auwolu Umar (male) aged 28 have been arrested over the theft of one Volkswagen Vento Car with Reg. No. Delta AG 177 PT, with chassis No. ZZZIHPN 52954.
They were apprehended by a Police Patrol team which pursued the stolen Volkswagen Vento off Otor-Iyede Road after they received information from the car owner, one Aregor Gold (female) of Imonire Street, Otovwodo, Ughelli.
She reportedly told the Police the same day her car was stolen that she sighted the car at Otovwodo Junction, Ughelli heading towards Otor-Iyede Road and as a result of the hot pursuit, the said vehicle was recovered.
