The General Overseer of Christ Mission International, Bishop Briggs Afemia has established a branch of the Church at Agudama-Epie, an ‘evil forest’ in Yenagoa, Bayelsa which was known for “fetish dwellers”.
Bishop Afemia, a 2013 United Nations Peace Ambassador described the establishment of the Church in Agudama-Epie as “a home coming after 50 years of absence from the State”.
Our Bayelsa Correspondent reports that the Cleric admonished Christians to make Jesus Christ their role model, rather than human beings, noting that modeling of Christ is the key to success.
While challenging Christians to “have a perfect study of any mentor and be sure that the mentor is in-line with Biblical injunctions”, Bishop Afemia counseled them to avoid fornication, smoking, killing of humans as well as other sinful acts.
