Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party in Okere - Urhobo, Warri, Elvis Okpako Eboh, says the appointment of Chief ( Dr.) Israel Abido as member of Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council by Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori, is a well deserved appointment.
Eboh, a second - time Supervisor for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Warri South Local Government Council, made the declaration last night in a message to felicitate with Chief ( Dr.) Abido on his appointment.
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori in a statement released through the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, announced the appointments of some eminent Deltans, including Chief Abido, as members of the State Advisory and Peace Building Council, with a former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire as Chairman.
According to Eboh, Chief Abido, " who is the leader of the Urhobos of Warri ", has consistently exhibited exceptional political dexterity of advancing the interest of Warri - Urhobos, at the same time promoting peaceful co - existence amongst ethnic groups in Warri South Local Government Area in particular and Delta state in general.
Whilst thanking Governor Oborevwrori for the appointment of Chief Israel Abido, who he described as a round peg in a round hole, Hon. Eboh, admonished people of Warri, especially politicians to emulate the political philosophy of Chief Abido, " which is anchored on inclusion and mutual respect."
