Kogi Poly Rector seeks Ejeh of Ankpa's support to succeed in office

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman received the Ejeh of Ankpa, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu in a surprise visit to the Polytechnic recently. 

The Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Uredo Omale disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

The Ejeh of Ankpa who was at the Polytechnic along with some of his cabinet chiefs and aides was received by Dr. Usman and other principal officers of the Institution. 

Dr. Usman appreciated His Royal Highness for the surprise visit which he described as 'historic' and appreciated him for the honour. 

The Rector commended him for fostering peace and unity in Ankpa under his reign which he noted did not come as a surprise. 

He used the occasion to reel out successes achieved at the Polytechnic since his administration came on board, just as he appreciated His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for the opportunity to serve in that capacity and the tremendous support he has enjoyed from him.

He appealed to the Ejeh for his continued support, guidance and prayers to do more for the Polytechnic and the development of the state. 

In his response, the Ejeh of Ankpa, Alhaji Dr. Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu disclosed that the visit was to congratulate the Rector on the successes recorded at the Polytechnic especially on the just concluded 4th Convocation Ceremonies which he was unavoidably absent. 

Alhaji Dr. Yakubu emphasized the importance of Polytechnic education to nation building as it will further encourage graduands to acquire more skills and innovations.

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that he assured the management of the institution of his support, encouragement and prayers for God to guide them aright to achieve more successes. 

He also acknowledged the wonderful working relationship between the Rector and the management team which he believed will engender more greatness. 

Highlights of the visit was presentation of artefacts and other products from the School of Art, Design and Printing as well as Entrepreneurship Development Centre of the Polytechnic. 

On the entourage of the Ejeh of Ankpa were Mallam Abubakar Abdullahi, Saraki Fada of Ankpa; Alhaji Idris Isiaka Alfa, the Wali of Ankpa; Mallam Usman Dan Amana, Zaki; Mallam Sediq Umaja Dan-Muri and Mallam Abubakar Zaaki. 

All principal officers of the Polytechnic, the Director of Academic Planning and Chief Internal Auditor were on hand to receive the Royal Father.
