The Rotary Club of Warri has flagged-off the construction of a physiotherapy department project at the Central Hospital, Warri in Delta State, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

President of Rotary Club of Warri, Rotarian Daniel Agbofode in a remark shortly before the flag-off of the multi million naira project on Friday December 9, explained that the decision to embark on the physiotherapy department project became necessary following the upsurge in accidents resulting to bone fractures and the need to tackle increasing cases of diabetes and stroke within the eight local government area serviced by the Warri Central Hospital.

He assured that the project will be ready within a record time and noted that efforts were on to incorporate other organizations towards the realization of the project.

The District Governor of Rotary Club, District 9140, covering 11 States across Nigeria, Rotarian Akabom Enebong stated that the initial doubt by the Warri Central Hospital Management about the realization of the project made its flag-off more exciting and promised to mobilize resources as well as professionals among Rotarians to ensure the project is completed.

Responding, the Medical Director of Central Hospital, Warri, Dr. Chukwuebuni Ngozi expressed shock at the commencement of the project, admitting she actually doubted the reality when a delegation of Rotary Club of Warri first approached her office, demanding for a critical need of the Delta State Government owned hospital.

Dr. Ngozi called on other Non-Governmental Organizations and Corporate bodies to assist the State Government in the task of meeting secondary health care needs of people in the State.
