An unidentified Mobile Policeman (aka MOPOL) who allegedly harassed the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP of Kogi State during the early hours of Saturday December 10 at Nataco Junction, Lokoja is may lose his job, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the overzealous MOPOL was on an escort duty along Nataco Junction, trying to clear the road so that the car he was escorting does not stay in the traffic congestion, when he unknowing harassed the Assistant Commissioner of Police who was driving a Toyota Saloon car.

Our Correspondent gathered that when the Mobile Policeman went to meet the driver of the Toyota Saloon car for him to give way for the car he was escorting, the driver of the Saloon car came out with his mobile phone still in his ears to explain who he was but was interrupted by the mobile policeman who grabbed his phone and smashed it on the floor.

As soon as the Assistant Commissioner of Police identified himself, the mobile policeman immediately started pleading, saying he did not know who he was but thought he was a civilian. The ACP quipped “so if I were a civilian that is how you would have harassed me and gone scot free, not today.”

The ACP later dragged the erring mobile policeman away to the nearest Police Station.

As at the time of filing this report, the image maker of the Nigeria Police Force in Kogi State, ASP William Aya is yet to react to the incident as he was not picking his calls or responding to text messages.
